The practice keeps absorbing work that used to sit outside it. Orchestration. Evaluation. Systems. Content. Operations. Conversation. Most of it arrived without a title change, a job description, or anyone asking whether you wanted it.
Wider Ground maps what design has become in practice, rather than what it still says on an org chart. We’re looking for the work as it is now: what practitioners have had to learn, what they’ve quietly stopped doing, and where the boundaries of the discipline currently sit. Some of that is exciting and some of it is unresolved, and those are the parts we get to explore together.
One day, online, from wherever you are. Two keynotes bookending presentations from the community across two tracks, with time for real questions and an interstitial in the middle that will reset you before the back half.
